UAE Sports for All Federation Concludes Mountain Biking Race in Fujairah with Winners Honored

The UAE Sports for All Federation concluded yesterday the community mountain biking race held at Fujairah Mall over a 3-kilometer course, with the participation of 120 male and female cyclists from various nationalities. The competition featured men’s, women’s and People of Determination categories.

The race was organized as part of the Federation’s community initiatives aimed at promoting sports participation and encouraging an active lifestyle among members of society. The event was held in cooperation with the Fujairah Adventures Centre and Al Qudra Sports Services, and concluded with an awards ceremony honoring the top performers.

In the Men’s Open Category, Turkey’s Ajit Salman claimed first place, followed by Spain’s Álvaro Galindo in second and Russia’s Ruslan Lazovsky in third. Badr Al Hammadi topped the People of Determination category.

In the Women’s Open Category, British cyclist Vicky Walsh secured first place, while Russia’s Kristina Zabolotko finished second and Iran’s Atifeh Karimi took third place.

In the UAE Nationals category, Mohammed Al Ghafri claimed first place, with Abdulaziz Al Sarkal finishing second and Butti Al Muhairi third. In the UAE Nationals Women’s category, Maryam Al Ali took the top spot, followed by Meera Al Falasi in second and Kulthoum Al Mazmi in third.

Saeed Al Ajel, President of the UAE Sports for All Federation, said the race was part of the Federation’s community initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of sport, encouraging healthy lifestyles and strengthening community engagement.

He praised the positive cooperation of the organizing committees and partners, particularly the Fujairah Adventures Centre and Al Qudra Sports Services, highlighting their contribution to the success of the event.

Al Ajel also confirmed that the Federation will continue organizing sports and community events in the coming period. Preparations are underway for upcoming events at Sahara Mall in Sharjah and Dubai Outlet Mall, with organizational and technical arrangements being finalized to ensure high-quality events capable of attracting participants from diverse segments of society.

The Fujairah mountain biking race reflects the growing role of community sports in the UAE—not only as a platform for competition and achievement, but also as a means of encouraging active lifestyles, strengthening social participation and promoting health and wellbeing across the community.
