The first day of the Marine Camp in Khorfakkan concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from children and young people in an energetic and enjoyable atmosphere. The camp is organized by the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club and the Ministry of Sports in cooperation with the UAE Sports for All Federation as part of a shared commitment to promoting sports participation, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and providing meaningful recreational opportunities for youth during the summer season.
The opening day featured a diverse programme of marine sports and interactive activities carefully designed to introduce participants to the exciting world of water-based sports while developing essential physical, mental, and social skills. Under the supervision of qualified instructors and experienced coaches, participants took part in a range of educational and recreational sessions that emphasized water safety, teamwork, communication, coordination, and self-confidence.
Throughout the day, children and young people actively engaged in activities that encouraged movement, exploration, and collaboration in a safe and supportive environment. The programme combined learning with fun, allowing participants to gain new experiences, build friendships, and develop a greater appreciation for marine sports and outdoor activities. The positive energy and enthusiasm displayed by the participants reflected the growing interest among youth in diverse sporting experiences that contribute to both personal development and overall wellbeing.
The camp also provided an opportunity to instill important values such as responsibility, discipline, perseverance, mutual respect, and cooperation. Through group challenges and interactive sessions, participants strengthened their problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills while enjoying a memorable experience in one of the UAE’s most scenic coastal destinations.
The Marine Camp forms part of ongoing national efforts to expand access to community sports programmes and encourage young people to adopt active and healthy lifestyles. By offering engaging activities in a structured and inclusive setting, the initiative supports the development of confident, healthy, and socially connected youth while making productive use of the summer holiday period.
Through its continued collaboration with leading national sports organizations and strategic partners, the UAE Sports for All Federation remains committed to creating opportunities that encourage participation in sports across all age groups and communities. By supporting initiatives such as the Khorfakkan Marine Camp, the Federation continues to promote physical activity, foster community wellbeing, and inspire future generations to embrace active, healthy, and balanced lifestyles throughout the UAE.
