As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting sports awareness and encouraging active, healthy lifestyles, the UAE Sports for All Federation, in collaboration with Edrak Sports Facilities Management, organized a specialized workshop titled “Community Sports Coach” at the Emirates Sports Science and Sports Medicine Center in Dubai, bringing together 56 participants.

The four-hour workshop combined theoretical knowledge with practical training, aiming to develop community coaching competencies and equip participants with the essential skills needed to encourage physical activity and promote sports participation across different segments of society.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Waleed Abdul Karim and Mr. Youssef Rushdi, representing the IFBB International Academy – Dubai.

The training covered several key topics, including the fundamentals of sports coaching, essential professional and interpersonal skills, coaching ethics and responsibilities, and the principles of designing and organizing effective training sessions tailored to participants’ fitness levels and individual needs.

Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in interactive discussions and practical activities designed to strengthen their understanding of the community sports coach’s role in motivating individuals, encouraging regular physical activity, and fostering sustainable healthy habits.

The event concluded with a recognition ceremony honoring the participants and contributors whose efforts supported the workshop’s success. The ceremony highlighted the importance of collaboration and partnerships in strengthening community sports development.

This initiative reflects the UAE Sports for All Federation’s commitment to expanding community participation in sports, developing coaching capabilities, and promoting physical activity as an essential part of everyday life.
