“Sports for All” Marks the Map of Future

Ibrahim Abdul Malek Mohammed Secretary General for General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare attended the first meeting of United Arab Emirates Sports For All Federation, following the new formation of Board of Directors for the Sports Tournament 2016/2020 chaired by Salem Yousef Al Qaseer who attended the meeting in presence of the members. The meeting was also attended by Khalid Issa Al Medfa the assistant Secretary General at the Authority; Khalid Abdulla Al Hussain director of Sports Affairs, Omer Abdul Rahman Al Ali Hassan head of Olympic Committee and Sports Federations Section. The meeting members discussed the work map for the coming phase, besides discussing other matters and issues on the Riyada System for assessment of the performance of Sports Federations, in addition to activating communication among the authority and other Sports departments through all kinds of correspondence by Emirates Sports electronic portal. They also discussed the efforts for preparing the articles of association for the Federation in line with the local and international legislations including the Olympic Code and International Federation Laws governing and regulating the game management process.

The Staff

The meeting members also discussed the ways to provide more qualified sports staff members to hold external offices and positions, as the Authority relies on the sports federations departments to bring forward such administrative staff able to be present in the sports organizations, which will realize benefits and success to the UAE sports in addition to having such big importance because there are committees (financial, technical, etc.) formed from the federation whether from among the members or by employing experienced ones from outside the board of directors.

Ibrahim Abdul Malek thanked the chairperson and the members of board of directors for their efforts throughout the last period, blessing the new formation of the council, and expressing his trust in the new board which has distinguished staff. He wished them all success and good luck toward realizing the desired goals. He also stressed that the community sports is part of the social fabric of the UAE, promoting the individual’s level and investing his / her positive energy , towards realizing the whole society’s interest and prosperity.

Salem Yousef Al Qaseer Head of Board of Directors of United Arab Emirates Sports For All Federation praised and hailed the role played by the General Authority of Youths Welfare and Sports in supporting the UAE Sports in all kinds, pointing out that the council proceeded work by distributing the administrative positions, and set the work plans including communication with all authorities concerned with the community sports in order to ensure coordination of efforts and to put such activities and initiatives in one framework serving more the largest category of the society members. Al Qaseer thanked Major General Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi and members of the previous council of United Arab Emirates Sports For All Federation for their efforts and works, highlighting the new board of directors’ efforts and determination to continue the advancement to reach and realize the set objectives and goals.
